A closer look

What the research shows

Human topical treatment study

Amniotic-fluid gel groups improved several diabetic-wound measures relative to the plain-gauze group in this trial.

What this does not tell us

92 patients in four groups, 8 weeks. Processed human fluid 5%, 10% and 15% gels differ from unspecified cosmetic materials; control lacked gel base, so formulation effects are not isolated. Medical wound results do not establish routine cosmetic benefit.
