What the research shows

Human topical treatment study

Mean healing time did not differ significantly. Alginate dressings reduced bleeding and investigator-rated pain at complete healing, with tissue judged suitable for earlier repeat harvesting.

What this does not tell us

67 children with burns requiring skin grafts; medical donor-site dressing, not a cosmetic application. Follow-up at days 30 and 60 is not a stated continuous treatment duration. No general cosmetic healing claim.
