Human oral care research

A chitosan-containing oral gel reduced postoperative pain, swelling and trismus compared with placebo.

What this does not tell us

36 patients. Chlorhexidine, dexpanthenol and allantoin are co-actives; oral surgical healing cannot establish isolated chitosan facial-skincare benefit.
