Human topical treatment study

Melanin measurements declined in eight of nine completers using synthetic ellagic acid gel.

What this does not tell us

30 randomized across three groups; nine of ten synthetic-acid patients completed. Open-label, no vehicle, small sample and unverified treatment duration. Natural extract arm is separate and no efficacy equivalence is established.
