A closer look

What the research shows

Human topical treatment study

Biomaterial did not significantly speed re-epithelialization versus standard secondary-intention wound care, but reduced pain and measured skin thickness.

What this does not tell us

Mixture and medical surgical defects; no isolated hydroxyapatite effect. Hydroxyapatite present in both arms of separate injected-hand-filler study, so not selected for differential efficacy.
