What the research shows
Local studies examine poly(lactide) polymers and sutures, not the free cyclic diester lactide. Targeted primary search found polymer assessments and general macrocyclic-lactide class material without exact free-lactide coverage. No qualifying exact monomer skin or final cosmetic safety source was established.
Research review checked Oct 1, 2026
Review supplied candidate titles and available abstracts selectively for exact identity; targeted primary PubMed/publisher searches. This is not an exhaustive systematic review.
