The report separates polymer toxicology from concerns about residual acrylamide and accepts described cosmetic uses subject to a residual-monomer limit.

What this does not tell us

Published safety assessment, not an efficacy trial. Its conclusion is limited to the reported cosmetic uses and concentrations, and relies partly on group read-across where individual data are missing. It does not establish current regulatory status or guarantee tolerance for every formulation. The reported condition is no more than5 ppm acrylamide monomer in formulation, not a current regulatory promise. Local injectable-hydrogel studies are excluded from topical cosmetic benefit claims.
