What the research shows

Human oral research

The fortified milk beverage was associated with fewer combined allergic-manifestation episodes than control.

What this does not tell us

256 children randomized, up to 28 weeks. Polydextrose was combined with DHA, galactooligosaccharides, yeast beta-glucan and micronutrients; the outcome combines respiratory and skin symptoms, so no polydextrose-specific skin benefit is established.
