Safety assessment
The report reviews polymer toxicology and dermal tests, including undiluted PVP K-30 clinical irritation and sensitization testing.
What this does not tell us
Historical cosmetic safety assessment with route-specific systemic findings and some read-across from povidone-iodine. It does not attribute antiseptic effects of iodine complexes to PVP.
