What the research shows

Human topical treatment study

Adding sodium chlorite to hydrogel after electrocautery did not significantly shorten overall wound closure or reduce superinfection.

What this does not tell us

113 patients reported across groups, disease-specific leishmaniasis wounds and electrocautery background. Subgroup trends were nonsignificant and should not imply established benefit. Pharmaceutical DAC N-055 and medical wound use do not establish ordinary cosmetic efficacy.
