Sodium-monofluorophosphate dentifrice provided less measured barrier-layer protection against acid-challenge dye attachment than stannous fluoride.

What this does not tell us

Extracted enamel experiment, three specimens per group. Toothpaste formulations rather than isolated salts were compared; this specific barrier assay is not clinical caries prevention or skin efficacy.
