What the research shows
Human topical research
A blinded, randomised, placebo-controlled study in 126 women aged 45 to 65 reported improved eye-area skin smoothness with adenosine cream and dissolving film. A film-development paper reported improved surface roughness after three and eight weeks of twice-daily 1% adenosine film use.
What this does not tell us
The first abstract does not give concentrations, and the second does not give sample size. These reports share investigators and may describe overlapping participants, so they are not necessarily independent confirmation. The specialised film does not establish the performance of another delivery system or a lower-dose cream.
