What the research shows

Laboratory research

Laboratory work measured gene-expression changes after cultured skin cells were exposed to a neem leaf extract.

What this does not tell us

The tested leaves were heat-treated and extracted in butylene glycol. Gene-expression measurements in cells do not demonstrate visible skin improvement or establish equivalence to every neem extract.
