SkinCeuticals Advanced Scar Control is a highly concentrated silicone scar gel that has been clinically demonstrated to help improve the appearance of hypertrophic and keloid scars. Suitable for post-surgical procedures, as well as scars caused by burns, scrapes, and cuts. Key ingredients include 95% Silicone, the gold-standard protective scar treatment ingredient with excellent occlusive properties. It prevents the excessive build-up of collagen in the dermis, improving the overall appearance of scars. Allantoin soothes and acts as an effective skin protectant. It also helps heal the skin and stimulate the growth of healthy tissue. Sunflower seed extract reduces inflammation and helps to improve skin barrier function. Silica, an aerated form of silica, provides a smooth, non-sticky texture that allows for a comfortable, matt finish. Fragrance-free. Dermatologically tested and approved. Dr Webster’s Recommendations: SkinCeuticals Advanced Scar Control, with its invisible velvety texture, forms an occlusive barrier over scars, preventing them from raising and growing beyond the scar edge. When used in conjunction with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, it helps shield the skin from UV rays that can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Ideal for use on C-sections or other post-surgical scars where movement or rubbing occurs.
