What was studied

EFSA established an oral acceptable daily intake of 6 mg/kg body weight/day using chronic rat toxicology and uncertainty factors. Food additive assessment and oral exposure estimates, not topical cosmetic benefit or skin tolerance. Some high child intake estimates exceeded the ADI.
