- Ceramide Ap
Ceramide AP was part of a lipid-and-glycerin cream studied for barrier integrity over 28 days in 58 adults with an eczema history. This is evidence about a complete formulation, not an isolated ceramide AP effect.
- Ceramide Np
In 58 adults with a history of eczema, a 28-day trial found better barrier-integrity and irritant-response measurements with a cream containing ceramide NP, other lipids and glycerin. The two creams differed in several ways, so the effect of ceramide NP cannot be isolated.
- Panthenol
A seven-day vehicle-controlled study of dexpanthenol, the D form of panthenol, reported increased hydration and reduced water loss. The abstract does not give sample size or concentration, and an INCI label alone does not identify the form used.
