Avène Gentle Exfoliating Gel mildly exfoliates and purifies the skin for a brighter and smoother complexion. Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin that can be intolerant of stronger physical and chemical exfoliators. Key ingredients include Cellulose and Jojoba Wax microbeads that remove dead skin cells. Niacinamide and Sodium Salicylate enhance the exfoliating action. Rich in the signature Avène Thermal Spring Water, known for its soothing and anti-irritating properties. Biodegradable formula. Contains a fragrance. Dr. Webster’s Recommendation: Avène Gentle Exfoliating Gel is a welcome addition to the Avène range. Sensitive skin also requires exfoliation, but there’s often a stumbling block in terms of finding effective products and ingredients that won’t cause an impaired barrier function (ingredients like AHAs can be too harsh). This product makes use of softer exfoliants that gently slough away dead skin cells on the skin’s surface.
